FOREWORD
Energy-efficiency intervention in collaboration with Mediocredito

BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The intervention, proposed to small municipalities within the Province of L’Aquila, involves increased energy efficiency of the previous public lighting systems on streets and squares (commonly equipped with high pressure sodium vapor lamps, mercury lamps, or metallic iodide lamps) by means of high-efficiency LED systems, with excellent chromatic output and improved distribution of the luminous flux. Moreover, the new systems are equipped with light sensors allowing the detection of natural lighting and optimization of the luminous flux, thus leading to its reduction at nighttime, with further energy saving.
The intervention involves inter-installation of an energy monitoring system to assess the initial status of the system and verify its actual consumptions before and after the replacement.
